Health

  • Radish Microgreens are very low in Cholesterol and Sodium. They are also a good source of Vitamin A, B, B6, C, E, and K. They contain Antioxidants, Amino Acids, Carotene, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, and Zinc, and are a great source of  Thiamin, Riboflavin, Pantothenic Acid, Copper, Niacin, Folate, and Manganese.

  • Radish micros have amazing detoxification properties and cleanse the blood of toxins and waste. Their antioxidants have been known to be effective against several forms of cancer.

  • Radish microgreens are extremely low calorie, and provide a sense of fullness after eating. They have been used for weight loss and increases in energy.

  • They are  high in fiber and help to lower cholesterol.

  • Folate, which is found in radish microgreens, is believed to promote cardiovascular health by breaking down homocysteine, an amino acid that is thought to promote atherosclerosis (fatty deposits in blood vessels). About half of people with cardiovascular disease have elevated homocysteine levels, compared with only 5% of the general population. In addition to providing tons of folate, radish micros contain plenty of vitamin B6, another nutrient that has been shown to break down homocysteine in the body.

  • Vitamin C rich foods, such as radish microgreens, can offer benefits for the skin. Our skin is constantly bombarded with free radicals created by cigarette smoke, pollution, drugs, heavy exercising, toxins, stress, and UV radiation, but vitamin C helps destroy these harmful molecules. In addition, vitamin C helps the body produce collagen, a protein that keeps your skin smooth, elastic, and wrinkle-free. As part of the natural aging process, our collagen production slows down, which is why especially older people may reap extra beauty benefits by eating radish sprouts and other foods that are rich in vitamin C.

  • All of these nutrients are extremely important for skin, eyes, fighting cancer, and have a long list of other health benefits associated with them.
